Application Developer

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Application Developer to join our team in developing add-on solutions to packaged ERP applications or developing custom applications to expand the functionality of the ERP solutions. The qualified candidate will be responsible for coding and developing programs primarily with Microsoft development technologies according to user requirement specifications. Depending on skills and experience, the selected candidate may also be involved in developing the user requirement specifications. A highly motivated, creative, and fast-learning individual with strong written and verbal communication skills who works well independently is needed.

General Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in computer programming/software development

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering on commitments

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Relevant business experience or education a plus

  • Ability/willingness to independently research solutions to presented problems

Technical Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge on the following technologies: Microsoft .NET, Visual Basic, C#, SQL, ASP.net, ASP.net Core, Microsoft Blazor WPA, Web Assembly

  • Understanding of object-oriented programming

  • Basic knowledge of database structure for business solutions

  • Basic knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio

  • Knowledge of database design and programming, particularly using SQL

  • Familiar with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery and experience creating Web user interfaces

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft development tools such as Visual Studio 2022

  • Knowledge of Mobile App Development, Internet Information Services Web Server and SharePoint are a plus

Part-Time Office Assistant (Temporary)

Job Purpose:

Balance Point Technologies is a developer of software applications for manufacturing companies and a reseller of Microsoft Dynamics ERP software. We are looking for a qualified professional to handle customer service and administrative responsibilities with the potential to assume increasingly responsible positions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update website as needed

  • Create and email invoices to customers for service plan renewals (ISV and BPT)

  • Process deposits

  • Log monthly product updates to email to customers and post to social media

  • Process expense reports and reimbursements

  • Update service plan renewal internally (Autotask, Action Manager, website, and spreadsheet)

  • Accounts Payables

  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • BA/BS or Associate Degree desired

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and clients

  • Strong computer skills

  • Accounting or bookkeeping experience or education a plus

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently
